Mayor’s Charity Gala Returns in Spectacular Style, Raising Over $125,000

The City of Logan Charitable Trust (CoLCT) has celebrated the successful return of its flagship fundraising event, with the 2026 Mayor’s Charity Gala raising more than $125,000 to support charities delivering lasting positive impacts across the City of Logan.

The event marked the first charity gala hosted by CoLCT since 2018, following the revival of the Board and its renewed commitment to supporting local charitable organisations and strengthening community outcomes throughout Logan.

Held at the Beenleigh Events Centre, the event saw the venue transformed into a breathtaking enchanted garden, immersing guests in a magical evening of entertainment, surprises, generosity and community pride.

More than 80 prizes were up for grabs across the silent auction, raffle and live auction, generating significant support for CoLCT’s charitable initiatives. The celebration continued well into the evening, with a full dance floor as guests embraced the festive atmosphere.

CoLCT Board Chair, Dr John Gilmour, said the success of the gala would deliver meaningful benefits for the Logan community for years to come. “The funds raised through the Mayor’s Charity Gala will be invested back into charities that are creating long-term, positive outcomes for people across the City of Logan,” Dr Gilmour said. “These organisations are helping build strength and support in our communities where it’s needed most. The generosity shown on the night will have a lasting impact, and we are excited about the opportunities this creates for charities working hard to improve lives throughout Logan.”

CoLCT Deputy Board Chair, Mayoress Ali Raven, said the overwhelming support from the community was a testament to the spirit of Logan.
“To see the Beenleigh Events Centre completely transformed into an enchanted garden and filled with supporters created an unforgettable atmosphere,” Mrs Raven said.
