About the Trust

We back local charities doing practical work for the Logan community. Our role is simple: raise funds, make grants, and help great local work go further.

Our Purpose

To support and enhance the community of Logan.

Our Vision

Provide positive impacts for the community of Logan through provision of community-based grants by building sustainable financial resources.

Our Values

Integrity

We act with honesty and deliver on our commitments.

Respect

We acknowledge and value the diversity in our community.

Transparency

We are open and accountable for our actions.

What we do

We focus on funding grassroots, community-led projects that deliver real outcomes in Logan. Grants may support practical needs, capability-building, or initiatives that strengthen connection and wellbeing.
  1. Facilitate

We make things happen through our direct efforts with a focus on generating revenue for providing grants to Charities.

  2. Education

Tell our story and demonstrate the impact of our assistance to the community in their endeavours to enhance Logan.

  3. Collaborate

Work in partnership with Council, community, donors, beneficiaries and other funding bodies to maximise impact.

How we are set up

The City of Logan Charitable Trust is a public ancillary fund established in 2017. It is a beneficial enterprise established by Logan City Council and operates as an independent legal entity for the benefit of the city.

In practice, this means we have the governance and accountability expected of a council-established entity, while focusing our work on raising funds and distributing grants to eligible charities.

Our Story

The Trust was established in 2017. Since then, the board and supporters have grown the Trust’s reach — funding local projects and building a stronger platform for future grants. Today, we are focused on being active, visible, and responsive — staying close to local charities and the people they serve.
