Grants that help local work go further

We fund grassroots projects delivered by Logan charities that support the Logan community. 

The City of Logan Charitable Trust (CoLCT) is pleased to announce the release of an open grant round to charities operating in the City of Logan.

  • General Grant Round period runs from May 27, 2026 to June 10, 2026.

We currently only have limited grant funds available so the number of grants allocated will be small with a maximum value per grant of $10,000 and no minimum amount.

The applications are open as of Wednesday 27 May 2026 and applications will close at 5pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026.  The CoLCT Board will then assess the applications and a decision of allocations will be made by 5pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026.

Funds will be released to successful Charities immediately upon completion of a Grants Commencement Agreement form required to be completed by all successful applications.

About our grants

We look for projects that deliver practical outcomes in the Logan Community. Funding can support one-off initiatives or programs that create sustainable benefit beyond the grant period.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to apply if your organisation is:
  • Operating within, or delivering outcomes within, the City of Logan
  • Providing support or services that benefit the Logan community
  • A charitable organisation with DGR Item 1 status — or willing to be auspiced by an organisation that holds DGR Item 1 status
  • Able to demonstrate a genuine need for funding and a clear plan for how funds will be used

What we look for in strong applications

  • A clear description of community benefit in Logan
  • A realistic plan and timeline for delivery
  • A simple budget showing how funds will be allocated
  • A sustainable outcome — what continues or improves after the grant period ends
  • Evidence of genuine need (without sharing sensitive personal details about individuals)

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Read the Grant Guidelines and check your organisation meets the eligibility requirements.
  • Step 2: Prepare your project summary, a simple budget, and the outcomes you expect to achieve.
  • Step 3: Download and complete the PDF form.
  • Step 4: Email the PDF form to enquiries@colct.org.au before the closing date.

Decision Process

Applications are assessed by the Trust’s Directors against the published eligibility criteria. All applicants are notified in writing of the outcome after the round closes and assessments are complete.
